About Us
Since 1992, Grand Flowers has been bringing colour and creativity to Eastbourne. We started out behind the iconic Grand Hotel, and before long, found our forever home in the heart of Meads Village — where the streets are leafy, the coffee’s good, and everyone knows each other’s dog.
In our Meads Street shop, we’ve spent three decades building a reputation for flowers with personality — wild, natural, and full of life. Each bouquet is made by hand, mixing premium blooms with a touch of imagination, for everything from big celebrations to quiet moments that matter.
Grand Flowers isn’t just a shop — it’s part of the Meads rhythm. A place where locals pop in for gifts, flowers, or a quick chat. We’re proud of our roots, our craft, and our community — and we’d love you to see what makes us a little different.
Meet the team
Carrie, Head Florist; Carrie brings a wealth of experience to Grand Flowers, combining many years in floristry with a background in both the care sector and retail. As our Shop Supervisor, she ensures that every aspect of the store reflects the Grand Flowers standard — from the impeccable presentation of our flowers and gifts to the smooth running of daily operations. A true all-rounder, Carrie balances her considerable floral expertise with a natural flair for organisation and administration. Her steady oversight guarantees that our customers always enjoy the exceptional quality, style, and service for which Grand Flowers is renowned.
Sarah, Senior Florist; With over two decades at Grand Flowers, Sarah is the creative heart of our team and a true expert in natural, free-flowing floral design. Her signature style — abundant, textural, and inspired by the wild — has become a hallmark of the Grand Flowers look. A familiar and much-loved presence in the shop, Sarah brings not only exceptional skill and passion for flowers, plants and succulents, but also a warmth that makes every customer feel welcome. Away from the workbench, she channels her love of nature into caring for her horses and dogs, reflecting the same devotion she brings to her craft.
Aimee, Senior Florist; Aimee is a highly skilled florist with many years of experience and a remarkable depth of knowledge across the world of plants, succulents, trees, and horticulture. Having previously been part of the Grand Flowers team, she has now returned to the place she truly belongs — bringing with her both expertise and a genuine love for her craft. Warm, approachable, and rarely without a smile, Aimee combines her passion for nature with a superb customer-focused approach, ensuring every visitor leaves delighted. Outside the shop, she can most often be found in her garden, immersed in the beauty of the natural world she loves.
Robyn, Florist; Joining Grand Flowers in the summer of 2025, Robyn brings with her an impressive background in both local floristry and high-profile event work, including time as an event florist at The Dorchester Hotel in London. Plumpton College trained and highly creative, she combines technical skill with an eye for elegant, distinctive design. Known for her warm and fun-loving personality, Robyn’s exceptional customer service ensures every client feels truly valued. Beyond the shop, she has generously given her time as a volunteer at St Wilfrid’s Hospice, reflecting her caring nature and commitment to people as much as to flowers.
Ian, Owner; Ian brings decades of horticultural experience to Grand Flowers. His career has taken him through every corner of the industry — from garden centres and nurseries to landscaping, a national horticultural trade association, and even a digital agency building websites for garden centres. With a deep knowledge of plants, trees and the wider green world, he now channels that expertise into the floristry business. Away from work, he enjoys long walks with his dogs, Elvis and Benji, and has previously spent several years involved in local politics.
